The Importance of Libya's Stability for the Mediterranean Basin
“How Libya's Fezzan Region Became Europe's New Frontier”

Path to Stability
Undeniably, Libya’s sustainable stability remains a priority of the highest order—nationally, regionally, and globally. Politically aware observers universally recognise its significance. Most urgently, the countries of Southern Europe and North Africa must be actively concerned, as they are directly and profoundly affected by Libya’s trajectory. If stability is genuinely and sustainably secured, these neighbouring states could meaningfully and legitimately benefit—economically, politically, and strategically.
It goes without saying that the foremost beneficiaries of Libya’s stability would naturally be its people. Yet, the list of potential winners could also legitimately—and realistically—include the various actors and rival parties involved in or competing over Libya. Crucially, this stability could meaningfully address the economic and financial crises facing some of these countries, particularly in light of two pressing Libyan needs:
Firstly, a clearly urgent need for expansive development projects to thoroughly modernise infrastructure.
Secondly, a steadily growing demand for labour to effectively fill human resource gaps across multiple sectors.
All of these reasons have led us to propose a future rescue plan or vision for the next decade—aimed at building a developed, stable Libya by harnessing all available material and moral capabilities, and placing the nation firmly among the ranks of developed countries.
